Scutellaria alpina L. ssp. supina (L.) I. Richardson

Flora Europaea the Linnean original specimen (called Scutellaria lupulina L. which is now treated as a synonym). subshrub, Ch xeric to mesoxeric, forest-steppe species continental Palearctic Festucion valesiacae R34 habitats     This is the forest-steppe vicariant of alpina which is found in Romania only in a single island in the western part of Tarnave Tableland (Bagau-Lopadea Noua-Cicard-Beta-Ocnita area) where it is a common species on the steep sunny slopes along with Haplophyllum suaveolens and Globularia bisnagarica.
